Whatever the year 2012 brings... the message embedded within it is predominantly one of HOPE.  That we will once more tread "lightly" upon this precious earth, and become better people... while understanding the legacy our ancestors have left us.  We must learn to question all that we are told to think... to feel... to believe.  We must learn to question our history and along the way, be ready for some surprises.

The top leading authors, researchers, experts and 2012ologists of our time... John Major Jenkins, Geoff Stray, and Robert Sitler will share their findings, insights and research with all of us and convey the importance of humanity's awakening and understanding of this important cycle as we move closer to the December 21st, 2012 date.

Geoff Stray

Geoff Stray has been studying the meaning of the year 2012 and has been amassing a vast collection of data relating to the 2012 phenomenon since 1982. Far from confining his research to the Maya, who provide the most prominent predictions for this date, he has also studied the prophetic traditions of other cultures, including Tibetan, Chinese, Jewish, and tribal cultures from around the globe, discovering a convergence of expected era change. Around 1996, he started to compile the information into a booklet called Beyond 2012. In September 2000, he made it available on the internet via the website http://www.diagnosis2012.co.uk.   Since then, Diagnosis2012 has become renowned as the most comprehensive database available on 2012, and has gathered input from every corner of the globe. Geoff has given presentations on the topic across England and in countries as far afield as Scandinavia, USA and Peru.

Geoff currently lives in Glastonbury and has published three books - Beyond 2012: Catastrophe or Awakening (Ecstasy - UK Version), the first of these, was published in the UK in 2005, it was published in Holland in 2008, and in the United States in 2009. This book is an overview of visions, calendars, prophecies and theories about 2012, and has been called “The Encyclopedia of 2012”. The Mayan and other Ancient Calendars was published in 2007 in UK and USA, and more recently, in Japan and Korea - it shows the unique properties of Maya calendar systems as compared with other ancient calendar systems. 2012 in your Pocket is the third book - a compressed version of the most compelling material in ‘Beyond 2012’, plus a few extra items, and was published in the USA and UK in 2009. He has contributed articles to anthologies such as the bestselling book, The Mystery of 2012: Predictions, Prophecies and Possibilities; and 2013! The Beginning is Here.... and .... Robert Sitler, Ph.D.

(Author of "The Living Maya:  Ancient Wisdom in the Era of 2012"; Professor/Director of Latin American Studies Program; Spanish language, Mayan culture and Latin American Humanities - Stetson University, DeLand, Florida)

Robert Sitler's first exposure to the genius of Mayan culture came in the mid-70s while hiking in the rainforests of Chiapas. Since then, he has spent as much time as possible in the Mayan world, visiting regularly among natives from more than a dozen language groups. His long-standing relationships with Maya and their humble wisdom inform and inspire this book. He completed a PhD at the University of Texas - Austin in 1994 with a dissertation on Mayan-related literature under the guidance of Dr. Linda Schele. The author's personal experiences with Maya have been complemented by formal study of their culture and extensive exploration of their ancient cities. He is a regular participant in professional meetings with Mayan scholars in Guatemala and the United States. Recently he has focused on the significance of year 2012 in the Mayan Long Count and the Mam Mayan community of Todos Santos Cuchumatán. His CV includes numerous academic articles and presentations concerning Mayan culture and the year 2012. In particular, he has worked to include more Mayan perspectives in the discourse concerning the significance of 2012. He travels frequently in Mexico and Guatemalan to learn from elders in various language communities. Robert is currently a professor at Stetson University in DeLand, Florida and serves as Director of its Latin American Studies Program, teaching courses in Spanish, Mayan culture and the Latin American humanities. The diversity and depth of Robert's immersion in Mayan ways has been informed by study with accomplished teachers in Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and from elsewhere in Native America.
